Updated Certified Green Products Guide Released by SCS Global Services
Provides easy access to SCS certified green building and consumer product information
SCS Global Services (SCS), a third-party certifier of environmental and sustainability claims, is pleased to announce the launch of its updated, online Green Products Guide. The Green Products Guide is a searchable database enabling users to locate thousands of products certified by SCS under its Environmental Certification Services division, including well-known certification programs such as BIFMA level®, SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold, FloorScore®, SCS Responsible Source, Green Squared®, Sustainable Carpet Standard, Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP), and Recycled Content.
“The Green Products Guide is a user-friendly tool for architects, designers, engineers, LEED APs, and others searching for certified products,” said Stowe Beam, Managing Director of SCS’ Environmental Certification Services division. “Its updated features will further increase the exposure of certified products in the marketplace.”
The Guide’s updated features include:

- Easily accessible certificates

- Important product information with links to company websites
- Advanced search tool to retrieve targeted information
- Search filter that allows a rapid and accurate narrowing of search results
With these features, SCS expects to double the monthly traffic to its website by the end of the 2013. Increased visibility will help companies better promote the certified environmental and sustainability attributes of their products.
The extensive roster of companies with product claims certified by SCS includes globally recognized brands, such as Kimball, HON, KI, 3form, Len-Tex, HPFI, Roppe, Knoll, DIRTT, Global Contract, Wilsonart, Tarkett, and Avilan Storied Diamonds. The Green Products Guide will soon be expanded to include products certified under other key SCS program areas, including natural resource certifications such as Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and food and agriculture certifications such as Sustainably Grown.
